Supplies:
Jasc Paint Shop Pro. I used PSP 9
but this should work equally well in other versions.
Outside Filters - EyeCandy 4000 - Chrome and Gradient Glow
This is a tutorial to show you how to create a halo. Hope you enjoy :0)
Open a new image 400 X 400
Using your ellipse tool,

draw out an ellipse, kind of flat looking:

After you are happy with it, convert to a raster layer
Go to EyeCandy 4000 - Chrome with the following settings:

Then go back to EyeCandy 4000 Gradient Glow
We are going to use the Diffuse Yellow setting:

but will modify the numbers just a bit:

Then go to Image - Rotate - Free Rotate

This is just a suggestion; rotate as much or little as you need for your project.
Add a nice drop shadow:

and voila! You have made a halo.
I used mine in conjunction with a cloud photo from STock Xchng
and a quote from H.G. WELLS.
